Reviews from 2017
I can’t say enough of what a wonderful discovery the Masriyatt INTENSIVE was for me. I absolutely loved all the workshops. It’s the greatest and very valuable contribution into dance experience and development as a dancer. The atmosphere and energy were amazing. Shows are very inspiring, wow, so many talented people in one place. I am looking forward for the next Masriyatt!!! ~ Natalia K
Thank you, Nada El Masriya, for offering the Masriyatt INTENSIVE 2018 workshop with Randa Kamel, Mohamed Shahin, and Tito! Bringing three international artists of that calibre is a great service to the Canadian dance community. Mohamed Shahin is a fantastic teacher; Tito has beautiful, elegant choreography; Randa Kamel’s instruction and technique are challenging and dynamic; and Nada El Masriya is a great teacher and dancer, not to mention being an inspiration for her passion, her commitment to this dance form, and her hard work! In addition to the workshops, there were two shows and a fun party on Sunday night with an authentic Egyptian meal and social dancing. I was so glad to attend this with Annissa Spechko, and look forward to Nada’s next event!! ~ Barbara T
I want to thank Nada El Masriya and all of her staff, as well as the wonderful Egyptian Master Instructors Randa Kamel, Mohamed Shahin and Tito Seif!! I was only able to attend Saturday and Sunday and found the Intensives to be top notch and the instructors to be wonderful teachers. I was not able to make it last year, and even though I had to do a grueling solo drive from Pittsburgh to Toronto, it was really worth it. The Toronto Dance Community is great – talented and well-trained as well as fun to work with. Any Egyptian Orientale bellydancer should definitely attend Massriyatt!!You will not regret it!!! ~ Christine N
Reviews from 2016
Attending the Randa Kamel and Mohamed Shahin Intensive from the Egyptian Dance Academy was a blast! The small group atmosphere gave me the chance to ask questions and get personalized feedback from these world renowned artists. Nada, David and Melissa did such a great job keeping us all on track that weekend – thanks so much! ~ Sam D
I really enjoyed the intensive. I like that the class size were not huge and held in a dance studio with mirrors. I also liked that students had the chance to sit down and ask the teachers questions. I loved the fascial stretch therapy and the offer of drinks & snacks. The theater where the competition / gala was great! Overall I had a wonderful experience and hope to attend the 2017 intensive. ~ Best regards, Paméla M
A great way to spend Halloween weekend with the powerful Randa Kamel and mesmerizing Mohammed Shahin. I can’t thank the Egyptian Dance Academy and Nada El Masriya enough for all their effort. I loved the personal touch; snacks and coffee to keep us going, a little notebook and a pen, a pack of tissue for all the sweat and of course being so close to the teachers. My personal favourite was the little heart stickers on the wristband. No one but Nada would do such a small thing to make us all feel so special. Can’t wait for next year! ~ Maysara M
I loved it!! Thanks for all your hard work!
Looking fwd to next year! ~ Ashley
